Random driving!

for a while i wanted to go to a nearby mountain and see our town from
the top of the mountain (hill), since our time was running out i
jumped in the car in the afternoon and tried to drive over there with
elaine, we drove down and soon got very lost down tiny roads through
fields and tiny villages but it was great fun, we stopped at the end
of the road and climbed halfway up the hill to a small temple to take
some pictures, but alas their was another hill blocking our view, so
we drove back around the hill to the other side, the problem being
unless a hill has been assigned as a climbing hill and had steps etc
prepared there are really few paths and no signs or maps to be found.
People living at the base of the hill have no idea how to get there!
from the other side we investigated an empty quarry nestled down a
valley before chasing the setting sun through the valleys taking some
lovely pictures!
On the way back i drove and must have taken a wrong turning somewhere
and ended up driving over some metal plates through a very muddy field
which turned out to be a building site! We eventually found the
entrance, a locked gate we had somehow ended up on the inside of! A
rather confused security guard let us out and we all went for dinner
together in a crazy restaurant where you choose your food and then
they deep fry it, whatever it us! Not healthy and not the best of
chinese cuisine, but very popular with the locals!
