Hangzhou day 2

The next night we found out that elaine had come to hangzhou too to see her friend, but her friend was working that morning, so we spent the morning and early afternoon together visiting a pagoda on a hill overlooking west lake and general wandering and investigating. 

After we had a look at some nice camera accessories that I managed to avoid the temptation of we met up with elaines friend who invited us all for a big meal together.

She took us to a nice thai restaurant right near west lake and we had some very tasty but very very filling thai food, a nice change, and all ate way too much. After the meal we walked around the lake at night, me talking with Elaine's friend about photography (a subject she was very interested in, in fact we have the same D3100!), the problem being she only spoke Chinese, and my Chinese photography terms were very limited! Elaine and Chris wandered off and so we hashed it out as best we could, very fun!

After a short walk we said our goodbyes and Chris and I walked back home, for a respectable 1am bed
