hangzhou day 2 nighttime

... or so I thought an early bed, Chris woke me up at 4am saying his stomach was really hurting, he then spent the whole night in agony and being sick, not nice, we suspect it was the tasty mussels he had ordered, we had all eaten one but Chris had three, and perhaps one was not so well cooked, it seems the best guess as generally eat the same stuff! Russian Roulette was hedged against him when he took three of the 6 mussels! 

In the morning he was a little better but still not right, and very tired, so I left him in bed and went out for a wander, I had a great Iced coffee, looked around the old town for the 100th time, and had a look around the big careforre supermarket in Hangzhou. There I bought some ultra bland stomach calming snacks and after dropping them with chris went for a walk again.

I went into a shop and wondered why it suddenly got very busy, turns out the heavens had opened and so I spent 15 minutes sitting on the steps under the overhang outside taking pictures of the rain and the people in it with my fast lens, very interesting! Then I went in and bought an umbrella from the shop and walked down to west lake, I tried to take some pictures of the lightening over west lake but it just wouldn't come out, and so I walked back to the hotel, a little damp but happy!

The next morning Chris was feeling a little better and we got the 7am train back to lingxi and back to the school! we went for a meal and then sneaked back into out house for a few days! I managed to grab a quick chinese lesson before getting some sleep before my birthday! My first Chinese birthday!
