Gabrielle in china

Got an email Friday morning saying gabrielle had landed in Shanghai and found the hostel ok and made a plan to meet her the next morning in the hotel reception.
Taught a full day at the school and all my classes wanted me to bring my sister in to show her to them, nosy little buggers!
After my last class I had an hour to get to the station and predicatably Friday had heavy rain. Luckily as I left my house it died down to a light drizzle and since all the taxis were busy I ended up walking the 15 minutes to the station.
Got my train with no problems and settled down for my 5 hour trip next to a young girl, I asked her if she spoke English and found out she did not but managed to get talking anyway with my limited Chinese, my Chinese book, and a little unsuccessful Google translating. She was very friendly and we swapped numbers (but since this is china qq numbers) and she left at ningbo.
I arrived at Shanghai at half 10 and noticed people running towards the metro, I walked quickly and managed to catch the last metro train into the center of Shanghai.
Walked to the hostel easilly, I know it well, and checked in. Walking out past the common room I saw many people but not gabrielle and since I was hungry I went out to find some street food!
60p and a tasty noodle dinner later I arrived back at the hostel and who did I meet in the coridoor but my sister! Said hello and retired to the bar for a beer or two before getting to bed around 1 ready for a busy day in Shanghai tomorrow.
